When I joined this tribe, I had hopes of finding people who made a regular practice of magical practice. Are there such people on this tribe? I am not, but I would like to get an insight beyond just reading about such things

Hi Ach,
First ask where you are, north or south of the Equator,
that matters. North of the E;l has more books on the styles of ritual, very few
deal with the Southern Hemisphere.
Next ask yourself if you have a pantheon interest that you are married or drawn to,
most people doing 'rite' willl use a circle and most times the quarters.
IN each tradition the quarters will have different colors, elements, beings and wards
to them. differing with each tradtion.
Ask yourself which tools you wish to use, which you have, which you will be phasing out,
for new and sexier ones, (toss that old challice and find a really antique gold thing
like from some treasure hunting movie)
Ask yourself if you have a focus of what you want to do in rite, is it for building a
fortress of personal power (ASHE: see Santeria) or to acheive a more mundane
objective.
That should lead your work quite a bit.

Re: Ritual Magic
Mon, December 22, 2008 - 8:39 PMI'm pretty tight-lipped about it all. I'm in a cult that formed around ritual, but we don't do ritual any more, per se; not at the moment anyway.
My experience suggests that intuitive, artistic, sensitive activities are more healthful than rigid rote-ordered activities.
